For Always paper

The for always paper is great to use with black and white photos, weddings, and reunions. Which can be seen in the layout below.

Below are 2 layouts I have done. They are with out titles and pictures because I wanted to wait to title till after I put pictures on them. That just comes down to me ordering more pictures!

This first one page layout, I am planning to put with another page if there are more pictures for the theme. For this layout I am planning on putting 3x3 sized photos on the strip of yellow. They will be pictures of everyday summer fun. For the pennants, balloon, life is good and feathers I used the Close to my Heart Artiste cricut collection.
This layout was driven by wanting to play with the argyle image on the Close to my heart Artiste cricut cartridge. I will put a couple pictures in the diamond shapes, and then a 4x6 on the other page. This layout is aimed at a girls night out. Just didn't title it because I'm not sure which girls night I want to use!

Using up my stash Blog Hop- Flowers

If you are joining us for the "Use Your Stash Blog Hop" you are right on track. WELCOME! You should be coming from Nikki's Blog.

There are 6 participants this month. If you get lost along the way you can see the entire list of hoppers on Rachel's Blog. Let's get started.

Today I am showcasing two separate projects to show a variety of using flowers.

The first project is a layout I did with the Buzz and Bumble paper. On this layout I focused on clustering the flowers.

On this page you can see there are several flowers. One is stamped directly on to the base of the layout, another is a stickered element the other two were stamped images that I cut out.

This layout is based off the buzz and bumble paper's workshop on the go.

Supply List:
Buzz and Bumble Workshop on the go: (no longer available)
Cocoa ink pad: Z2114
Buzz and bumble assortment: Z1831

Project number 2

When I had started using up my stash for this blog hop this was the original project I had in mind. Yet both projects got done about the same time, and had flowers. The focus of the flowers on this project was to use up paper flower embellishments I had laying around.

This is a mini album I made my oldest son who absolutely loves Sea World. We take a one day trip to sea world every year, so I took a few pictures that highlighted our trip and put them in a mini album. These paper flowers were very tropical feeling, which goes right along with sea world.
I used the for always paper pack through out this mini album since the matching cardstock was bright, and the black and white went perfectly with shamu.

Here not only did I layer the paper flowers, but also clustered them. Then through out the album I put black sparkles in the centers of the flowers.

Supply list for this mini album:

For always paper pack: X7165B
Slate Satin poka dot ribbon: Z1802
Black and grey sparkles assortment:Z1754
Tiny Type epoxy alphabet: Z1835
Just Blooms, Paradise paper flowers: Z1710

Now hop on over to Shirley's Blog for more ideas of using up your stash.

Technique blog hop- Generation stamping

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 4 of us highlighting the Generation StampingThis blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from Wendy's Blog, you are on the right track!

For this technique I decided to make a couple of cards showing various generations of stamping.
This picture is an example of what Generation stamping is. Generation stamping is where you ink a stamp once but may use it many times before re-inking the stamp. In the picture above the stamped image to the left is a first generation stamp. This means that it was inked then stamped. The next set of images are second generation... this is where a stamp is inked then stamped twice with out re-inking the stamp. Then there is a third generation stamped image on that picture but as you see they are very faded.

This card I stamped the image of every day is an adventure, and because it is bright and crisp in color you can tell it was a first generation stamping.

On this card I did second generation stamping of the dragon fly stamp set, which is why in this picture you may not be able to read " you make my heart". Also to go along with the faded look that the second generation stamping gives I used water color pencils to color in the dragonfly some.

This is the inside of the dragonfly card, and I did first generation stamping here. The colors look very crisp in part because I used pigment ink for the hearts.
