Using up your stash blog hop- monotone

If you are joining us for the "Use Your Stash Blog Hop" you are right on track. WELCOME! You should be coming from Debi's blog.

There are 10 participants this month. If you get lost along the way you can see the entire list of hoppers on Rachel's Blog. Let's get started.

Today I am show casing a layout I made to finish my scrapbook of a Disney trip made last year. With so many pictures taken in one place I have found that sometimes taking a break from that trip's photos/ layouts helps me keep myself from getting burned out since I am periodically doing something new.

The theme this month for our use up your stash blog hop is using monotone in the project. For this project I focused on the color green, which works well with Pooh since he lives in the hundred acre wood.  To further give this feel and a finished look to this I will be adding a die cut log, the name Pooh in yellow and Red, and a honey jar a which will be made on the cricut. For now though here is the base layout done in a green monotone.

I did random placement for the buttons, but in a direction that will kind of guide the eye up towards the picture.

I found a little bit of green ricrack left that was a light green. Since I was still deciding what all I was going to do other than the cricut die cut embellishments I was trying to keep it simple as to not over saturate the page. So the honey jar will go over the ribbon it the top right corner where it can be seen that the ribbon started/ended.

While this layout at first glace may seem plain, it is primary because I wanted to focus on the monotone itself. The title as well as other pooh and friends themed die cuts have been made to be added to this layout using more of the traditional pooh and friends colors. By using these colors it will pop the pooh out of the picture some, keeping the eye from just seeing a bunch of green.

Keep a look out soon for an updated picture of this layout with the accessories added to it.
